Twin Peaks Candie Halloween Costume
So we’ve kept the best til last: everyone’s stand-out favorite of the new characters, Candie! You just know that arriving in your Twin Peaks Candie Halloween costume is going to turn heads like Lynda Blair in The Exorcist, even of non-Peaks fans. We’re here to assist you in achieving her Prom Queen/bunny girl/cabaret act look.
We didn’t get to know Candie (or Sandie or Mandie for that matter) as much as we’d have liked, but what little we did learn was super intriguing. Amy Shiels herself has speculated on Candie’s traumatic past, given how upset she is when she accidentally smacks Rodney Mitchum with a television remote. She imagined that Candie has been abused, which seems to be supported given a conversation between the Mitchum brothers, stating that she has nowhere to go.
Candie’s appearance and character

Candie is dedicated to the Mitchum brothers, whom Shiels considers Candie’s ‘saviours’. She is however ditsy and rather vacant
Diane has an iPhone case by the popular Irish designer Orla Kiely, which is an intriguing choice for a character who otherwise follows her own path sartorially. What we see throughout most of series three is the tulpa of Diane; despite this, those who know her best don’t seem to realize. We can only assume that the tupla shares enough of Diane’s true likeness to fool those closest to her. That likeness appears to be no bullsh*t, sweary and dedicated to Cooper.
How to act like Candie
You’ll need to perfect the pretty vacant expression and 70s air hostess ability to walk/dance/swat flies in super high heels and a tiny dress. You should also take a dedicated interest in air conditioning, be prepared to do whatever is asked of you (however menial) and do your best not to use your own initiative. Being emotional is also part of the MO of being Twin Peaks’ Candie.
